"Advanced Computing And Technology" grants are funding for faculty to bring technology into the classroom. The Dance ACAT grant, proposed in February 2008 was a coordinated effort between multiple departments. Using time domain acoustic analysis, tap dance students were able to use bio-feedback to exhibit differential learning. Initial prototyping and introduction to students occured in May 2008, and based on that success, was deployed to a semester course in Fall 2008.

The Dance ACAT represents non-traditional collaboration between faculty and staff of Hope College, a vibrant research liberal arts college:

Dance Faculty & PI - Rosanne
Theater & Dance Technical Consult - Eric
Grant conception, Instrumentation, and Program Consult - Brian
