See Kevin Horton's flight test page; he has about 70 links to all sorts of web resources. (Kevin, if you shut down this page, please let me know first, and I'll move all the links to here!)

Resources to do a pitot static calibration with GPS:
  • 1998 Doug Gray - 3 pg Reader's Digest version with spreadsheet formulas you can type into your favorite spreadsheet program.
  • 2003 Wayne Olsen - 26 pg laymen's version with formulas and analysis, little math detail.
  • 2005 Kevin Horton - web page, ~8 pgs when printed, drawing everything together to test his homebuilt RV-8. Includes links to live spreadsheet files.
  • 2008 John Foster - 16 pg NASA paper, determining suitability.
